Yang mana box-office Cicak-Man atau Jangan Pandang Belakang?

Orang filem sudah mula rancak bercerita tentang Festival Filem Malaysia Ke-20 yang akan berlangsung dari 3 hingga 5 Ogos ini.
Festival kali ini akan diadakan di Universiti Sains Malaysia di Pulau Pinang. Kak Tim difahamkan, sebanyak 23 filem cereka dan lapan filem digital akan dipertandingkan bagi merebut 11 kategori utama.
Paling menarik perhatian Kak Tim kali ini ialah filem manakah yang akan menerima anugerah juri bagi kategori filem box office?
Ada yang meramalkan filem Jangan Pandang Belakang terbitan Metrowealth Productions akan mengungguli kategori itu. Tapi kata sumber, filem Cicak-Man terbitan KRU Films mengatasi kutipan jualan tiket Jangan Pandang Belakang.
Ada yang beritahu Kak Tim, Cicak-Man berjaya membuat kutipan tiket sebanyak RM5.1juta sepanjang tayanganya selama 42 hari pada tahun lalu.
Sementara Jangan Pandang Belakang pula, kalau nak kira kutipan sepanjang 2007, memanglah sudah membuat kutipan tertinggi. Tetapi sehingga tarikh 9 Mei lalu, filem itu hanya membuat kutipan tiket sebanyak RM3.5juta. Jelas, masih belum mengatasi kutipan Cicak-Man.
Bagaimanapun jumlah kutipan tiket itu dibuat berdasarkan pada panggung-panggung di bawah skim wajib tayang sahaja. Dan jumlah itulah yang diambil kira oleh juri festival filem kita.
Bermakna jumlah kutipan itu tidak termasuk tayangan di panggung-panggung kecil, panggung-panggung di luar negara serta kutipan jualan filem-filem itu ke stesen-stesen televisyen.
Apa pun Kak Tim masih menanti, filem yang mampu memecahkan rekod box office yang dibuat Skop Productions pada tahun 1992 melalui filem Sembilu yang membuat kutipan tiket RM6.4juta.
Sudah 15 tahun rekod itu menjadi milik Datuk Yusof Haslam. Apakah mungkin filem Cicak-Man 2 yang akan memulakan penggambaran pada Ogos ini, dapat mencipta sejarah baru filem box office kita?

Fly me to d moon!
Yes! Im over d moon wen Jana called me up earlier d evening. She juz got hold of her results for her Higher Diploma n gained 4 Distinctions!!! Yeah!! Which means she's being exempted from 8 modules in Monash Uni... So an Honor Degree?? Do us proud sis!
There's juz so words to describe how hapi I am wif her improvements, wif her progress n her strength to go thru everyting ;) Now I juz cant wait to attend her graduation... Hmmm lets c wat shld I wear... hehe.
Aniwae my lil baby boy, Im still waiting for my distictions from U!! lol
Which means all my plans need to be reshuffled. I gona push my Masters Degree to d yr afta cos Jana will b doin her 2nd yr at Monash Uni n Janz will doing his college. Im juz so excited for every1 to start school once again!! hehe.
Ok gtg. My Indonesian Idol gona start very soon.

We've worked wif Maestro b4 for Adam n now its Dafi's turn to work some magic out. N im darn sure he'll make it big cos he's juz so blessed!

Yeah it was fun to witness d signing of d agreement n d press conference yesterday @ Planet Hollywood. Theme was orange n white (d auspicious company color) and yes, u may haf guessed d whole concept was based on EPL pre-season ticket selling. As d 3 brothers r avid fans of Man United (Long Live Chelsea, for me!! hehe), Edry acted as Alex Fergie as he delivered d jerseys to d new players; jerseys complete wif numbers n named printed at d back. Memang koolness giler! Juz cant wait for their singles to b released.
B4 all these took place, I had d much-awaited short discussion wif Norman. An offer has been laid. I muz say it's a decent one, but I guess I'll gif it some tot b4 giving him d answer. He's been great so far. So its kinda difficult for me to turn him down... But I'll weigh all pros n cons. Besides, he's always open for further discussion ;) Tat wat I love abt him
I will update more 2mrw; abt my avid readers, abt my tots n opinions on certain stuffs tat caused ppl to mengelabah n etc.
As for now, I gtg go for my Starbucks session wif my socialite, Auntie Sal!!! OOOH YUMMMMYYYYY!!!

Delima or The Lima?
Ive had a great n fantastic weekend! Though it was tiring n almost wore me out but d end result was juz magnificient.
1) My full wedding customer 16-17thJune
Thursday- Dias at home was set up
Friday nite - Full void deck deco in pink, equipped wif fresh flowers n chair covers were up.
Sat - Nikah. Done in short, sweet n simple.
Sun - Sanding wif 1800 invites! my god! ramai nya org!!!
Mon- Phototaking @ Studio
Alhamdulilah, both my customer (d pengantin's mum) n d pengantin r very satisfied wif d service n all tat was done. In fact I had some fone calls from those who came, as they r interested in d package. Hope more bisnes in near future. D pixs to b uploaded in my fotopages ;)
2) GangStarz
Yes! The Lima made it! Won d USD100k. Like many r aware, I fancied Mendua but it didnt matter to me if The Lima won, cos I noe both r great groups. In fact, Flava surprised me as they did so much better in d finals. I muz say I enjoyed their performance esp wif Jay Jay. I tot for a second they could win!!! Mendua like always wowed me wif their great vocals during d duet segment wif Faizal OIAM but sumting juz went wrong wif their 2nd display... Nevertheless, Im looking forward to d PC 2mrw as The Lima is now signed under KRU Music Group for talent management. Ive bloghopped n realise many r skeptical abt tis signing but hey if its not for KRU, no 1 will ever b aware of X-Factor, PB or BZ9. It helped these boys to move forward in their careers; modelling, acting etc.
Aniwae to Finatiks if u r reading tis, its ok if a new Msian wana-b doesnt noe Taufik Batisah cos at least his single is Numero Uno in Brunei... But do ppl in Brunei noe tis so-called "master of acapella"? I doubt so!
Tats for now folks! Will b back wif juicier stuffs from KL ;)

In her shoes
2day, I finally how how she fils.
Afta a hard, long n very tiring day people juz dun appreciate wat u've done.
Comments from them; Food tasteless lar, clothes were stained n d list goes on...
Juz imagine urself in her shoes!
Ive been doing everything she does.
Went to wet market in d morning, wash n hang d clothes, cook Nenek's lunch, vacuum d house, mop d floor, fold d dried outfits, prepare Nenek's tea and b4 u start to sit n relax its dinner time.
Prepare Nenek's dinner but b4 tat had to gif her insulin, wipe her clean, change her into nice-smelling outfits. Then prepare dinner.
I truly now appreciate wat she has been doing so far for us.
N without her, Im truly handicapped.
Thank u Bibik for all d above u've done for us b4 n in years to come.
I juz cant wait for my maid to return!

Penantian Hidup
Ive been wanting to write an album review n it juz so happened tat Ive been listening to tis album eversince I got hold of it (all d way from Jakarta) on 31st May!
Penantian Hidup was released on 25th May (on Konde's bday) at RCTI during Idol result show where Samsons performed Kisah Tak Sempurna n Luluh. Within 3 days, 50 000 copies were sold despite having The Titans and Peterpans album released on 26th June n much earlier respectively.
The genre of this album is still pop. But wat makes it interesting is the arrangement ie using strings in almost every song. Orchestra of Sydney contributed in Seandainya, Perbedaan n Luluh which juz makes the whole song more solid. These songs are my favorite in d album! N d sycronization from Perbedaan to Luluh is juz fantastic. In Kisah Tak sempurna, Sa' unine Strings Ensemble did their ting.
There's 2 English tracks in this album; For You and S.F.W in which they hope to go international wif these tracks. Latest Ive heard they r d ambassodor of Channel V. But Bams diction r alrite. I prefer Giring's English thou. But its a nice try! Easy listening ;)
All I can say, this album is much better than Naluri Lelaki where maturity level of these boys can be seen through their songs. Is it a muz buy album?? Definitely. Not only for Samsonia or Samsons maniac, but people who enjoy great music.
I rate 8.5 out of 10 for Penantian Hidup cos I juz love d arrangements. The use of orchestra, strings emsemble n choir in the album are juz brilliant.
Cant wait to catch their live performance in Bali tis Aug!

Anugerah Planet Muzik 2007@Indoor Stadium
APM tis year was alrite. Juz alrite ;)
Venue was a change but it was kinda stuffy esp during d post party reception.
D list of artiste could haf been better. More Indon bands pls next yr!!!
But Im so proud of our local acts except for 1 particular singer who sang out of pitch...
- Sleeq is good! A new cuter version of Too Phat?? Im so sure they will go far esp wif tat humble, down-to-earth attitude
- SASA's vocal improved so much
- Malex actually rox d house... Not bad!
- Taufik? Do I need to say more?? Forever so cool, stylish n his performance esp wen he did Cinta Terakhir n Hapus Aku... Keren banget.
- Hady!!! My favorite n best performance ever!!! He did his ting wen he duet wif Zainal Abidin!
In a nutshell, I njoyed their performances.
KD won d Anugerah Pencapaian while Zainal Abidin received Anugerah Cinta Planet for his work to save d elephants, environment n d earth. Cool stuffs!
Winners were expected n yes, Samsons won BEST ALBUM!!! Fantastic! Wait till Penantian Hidup is nominated next year. haha. Btw, Adi n Janz went berzerk over Gita, Sazzy n Acha at post party! haha..Haf fun viewing d pixs:

FAIR PLAY PLS!
Well, Im still upset tat Infinatez got d last spot in d finals of Gangstarz. A reliable source told me b4 d wildcard show tat Infinatez will b in, as they wanted 2 Indon group vs 2 Msian group. Eversince d last announcement at Gangstarz (to include all d other participating groups for wildcard show) I felt tat d game played isnt fair! I truly feel wat Colabr8 n Evoke was feeling... They'r d last 2 group standing yet wif d new announcement they had to fight all d way to get tat spot. But I salute them for their great fighting spirit. They will go damn FAR despite not getting d spot.
As for d last group tat made their way to d finals, they r juz plain lucky tat d whole Msia is supporting them. Juz look at them during tat wildcard show; pitching probs, terrible harmonization n worst they dont haf d package as an artiste! Ouch! but tats damn true!
I juz hope Msians will wake up n vote for wat they tink is best! Not juz blindly on being patriotic. Its a region competition; finding d best vocal group. Most importantly, this group muz haf wat it takes to sell them! I can c myself marketing for Mendua n The Lima cos they juz haf tat X-factor but tis last group... no comment.
N yesterday, I heard their fans r goin all way out to boot d Indons out of d competition...
Wat is this?? Like FIFA always state at d beginning of a game, FAIR PLAY!
My only concern is will d best group win? Y not open up d voting to Sporeans n Indons? This is then fair play n only wif this, d true winner will emerge!!
