Duyung by KRU Films

Datuk Hj. Mohd. Shafie bin Hj. Apdal – Menteri Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna yang juga merupakan Ahli Parlimen Kawasan Semporna, Sabah diatas kerjasama semasa penggambaran. Pihak penerbit mengambil masa 5 bulan untuk proses pasca produksi termasuk suntingan, kesan khas, CGI serta adunan.

Itu Kamu!

Ok ok I've got a confession to make. Azwin Andy is way hot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, he's the drummer of Estranged; the band that bagged Juara Lagu Pop Rock Category and also Song of The Year. I first met him during APM last year but didn't snap any pictures. Then during KLIFF, I saw him conducting red carpet and I asked AC:

Me: Sa
pa tu?? Handsome!
AC: Ohh thats Andy from Estranged.

Me: Wow!

And that's it. Cos I was so busy with the event, that I didn't managed to snap a pix with him. Again! But if you watched yesterday AJL you will agree with me that he is just hot!

I can now put Andy on par with Pasha Ungu. lol

AJL yesterday was incredible. I predicted right 100% this time, though it was a close shave for Balada between Ceritera Cinta and Izinku Pergi.
So here's the highlights of the event:

1. Jac and Lah VE made me have goosebumps! Their vocals were just perfectly awesome. It was so surprised that they bagged Best Vocal. To me, their performance was the most outstanding.

2. Mawi, as usual, was just enjoying himself on stage. He stood up to his nickname "Raja Sms" when he bagged Best Performance (50% voting while the other half by judges). Sempat tukar baju lagi... Gempaq!

3. Nora
finally won!! Yes, after so many years of competing finally lady luck smiles down at her!She looked gorgeous with that blue outfit ;)

4. Izinku Pergi won Balada Category. It was a very tough category to be honest. If Faizal Tahir were performing yesterday I think MahaKarya Cinta can stand a chance besides Ceritera Cinta. But this song itself memang berhantu!! Its just that Sahri didnt sing with an impact.

5. Faizal Tahir! His presence was greatly missed!!! At the end of the day, you know that Malaysian lacked of a good and strong Male vocalist. Back then they have Hattan, Nash, Amy Search etc but yesterday Fiq failed to do his job. S
o does Bob. Faizal can now rest assure that he is irreplaceable. I hope he'll be back with a bang... a big bang!!

6. Estranged!! Itu Kamu, bagged Pop Rock and also Song of The Year. I so totally agree! Its about time a change is needed in the industry. Even Mama thinks that Andy is good looking ;)

7. CT telah membuat ku mengucap panjang. Aurat still could be seen, tight outfits and dancing on stage after returning from Haj to me is a no-no. I still like how Hjh Sheila Rusly dressed herself, so is Datin Nurjuma, Wardina, Erma Fatima and even Aishah herself. Oh recently Ekin the model is also spotted wearing a tudong. Though Im not wearing tudong, but in my opinion its either u wear it properly or u
dont at all.

8. Ziana Zain is way gorgeous lar! Docked in a white dress, she is just in a class of her own ;)

If you guys wana read more about AJL, go to these site:

In the meantime, I shall leave pictures of Azwin Andy for your viewing!

Goodbye Heath Ledger

The death of the most promising young actor rocked the world earlier today.
Heath Ledger was found dead in NYC earlier this morning, at the aged of 28. Sleeping pills were found nearby. Below is the article I found:

Associated Press

NEW YORK - Heath Ledger, the talented 28-year-old actor who gravitated toward dark, brooding roles that defied his leading-man looks, was found dead Tuesday in a Manhattan apartment, facedown at the foot of his bed with prescription sleeping pills nearby, police said.

There was no obvious indication that the Australian-born Ledger had committed suicide, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said.

Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the SoHo apartment that is believed to be the home of the "Brokeback Mountain" actor, Browne said. The massage therapist and a housekeeper found his naked body at about 3:30 p.m. They tried to revive him, but he was already dead.

"I had such great hope for him," said Mel Gibson, who played Ledger's vengeful father in "The Patriot," in a statement. "He was just taking off and to lose his life at such a young age is a tragic loss."

Outside the Manhattan building on an upscale street, paparazzi and gawkers gathered, and several police officers put up barricades to control the crowd of about 300. Onlookers craned their necks as officers brought out a black bodybag on a gurney, took it across the sidewalk and put it into a medical examiner's office van.

As the door opened, bystanders snapped pictures with camera phones, rolled video and said, "He's coming out!"

An autopsy was planned for Wednesday, medical examiner's office spokeswoman Ellen Borakove said.

While not a marquee movie star, Ledger was an award-winning actor who chose his roles carefully rather than cashing in on big-money parts. He was nominated for an Oscar for his performance as a gay cowboy in "Brokeback Mountain." During filming, he met Michelle Williams, who played his wife in the film. The two had a daughter, now 2-year-old Matilda, and lived together in Brooklyn until they split up last year.

It was a shocking and unforeseen conclusion for one of Hollywood's bright young stars. Though his leading man looks propelled him to early stardom in films like "10 Things I Hate About You" and "A Knight's Tale," his career took a notable turn toward dramatic and brooding roles with 2001's "Monster's Ball."

Ledger's publicist, Mara Buxbaum, said in a statement: "We are all deeply saddened and shocked by this accident. This is an extremely difficult time for his loved ones and we are asking the media to please respect the family's privacy and avoid speculation until the facts are known."

In the Australian city of Perth, where Ledger was born and raised, his father called the actor's death "tragic, untimely and accidental."

"He was (a) down-to-earth, generous, kind-hearted, life-loving, unselfish individual, extremely inspirational to many," Kim Ledger said, reading from a prepared statement. "Heath has touched so many people on so many different levels during his short life."

Ledger eschewed Hollywood glitz in favor of a bohemian life in Brooklyn, where he became one of the borough's most famous residents. "Brokeback" would be his breakthrough role, establishing him as one of his generation's finest talents and an actor willing to take risks.

Ledger began to gravitate more toward independent fare, including Lasse Hallstrom's "Casanova" and Terry Gilliam's "The Brothers Grimm," both released in 2005. His 2006 film "Candy" now seems destined to have an especially haunting quality: In a particularly realistic performance, Ledger played a poet wrestling with a heroin addiction along with his girlfriend, played by Abbie Cornish.

But Ledger's most recent choices were arguably the boldest yet: He costarred in "I'm Not There," in which he played one of the many incarnations of Bob Dylan ƒƒ‚‚ as did Cate Blanchett, whose performance in that film earned an Oscar nomination Tuesday for best supporting actress.

And in what may be his final finished performance, Ledger proved that he wouldn't be intimidated by taking on a character as iconic as Jack Nicholson's Joker. Ledger's version of the "Batman" villain, glimpsed in early teaser trailers, made it clear that his Joker would be more depraved and dark.

Curiosity about Ledger's final performance will likely stoke further interest in the summer blockbuster. "Dark Knight" director Christopher Nolan said this month that Ledger's Joker would be wildly different from Nicholson's.

"It was a very great challenge for Heath," Nolan said. "He's extremely original, extremely frightening, tremendously edgy. A very young character, a very anarchic presence that taps into a lot of our basic fears and panic."

Ledger told The New York Times in a November interview that he "stressed out a little too much" during the Dylan film and had trouble sleeping while portraying the Joker, whom he called a "psychopathic, mass-murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy."

"Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night," Ledger told the newspaper. "I couldn't stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going." He said he took two Ambien pills, which worked for only an hour, the paper said.

Ledger was a widely recognized figure in his Manhattan neighborhood, where he used to shop at a home and children's store. Michelle Vella, an employee there, said she had frequently seen Ledger with his daughter ƒƒ‚‚ carrying the toddler on his shoulders, or having ice cream with her.

"It's so sad. They were really close," Vella said. "He's a very down-to-earth guy and an amazing father."

Before settling down with Williams, Ledger had relationships with actresses Heather Graham and Naomi Watts. He met Watts while working on "The Lords of Dogtown," a fictionalized version of a cult classic skateboarding documentary, in 2004.

Ledger was born in 1979 to a mining engineer and a French teacher and got his first acting role playing Peter Pan at age 10 in a local theater company. He began acting in independent films as a 16-year-old in Sydney and played a cyclist hoping to land a spot on an Olympic team in a 1996 television show, "Seat."

After several independent films, Ledger moved to Los Angeles at age 19 and starred opposite Julia Stiles in "10 Things I Hate About You." Offers for other teen flicks soon came his way, but Ledger turned them down, preferring to remain idle than sign on for projects he didn't like.

"It wasn't a hard decision for me," Ledger told the Associated Press in 2001. "It was hard for everyone else around me to understand. Agents were like, 'You're crazy,' my parents were like, 'Come on, you have to eat.'"

_________________________________________________________________

At the end of the whole thing, you learn 1 simple fact. Life is too short.
Appreciate life and people around you, and make this world a better place for all.

The Hollywood industry has lost a pearl; a pearl that shines in every aspect.
May you rest in peace, Heath Ledger.

AC & Affah's Wedding

Akad Nikah took place in JB at 8am.
All of us had to meet at Straits View Hotel by 7am. So imagine... going over the customs in high heels and baju kurong so early in the morning!!
But its all for the sake of AC.

He's been such a great brother and friend to me all these years.
He really helped me a lot in terms of work.
To be honest, the atmosphere during nikah was something you wished you could avoid; teary eyes and speeches. Sigh. Just too many speeches.
But Im glad it's all over! Alhamdulilah.

Here's the pixs:

Giving last minute tips to AC

Some quiet moment b4 the akad nikah

One of the many speeches and declarations Adat Johore

Bersanding

Us with the pengantin... Some how rather Jana seemed to blend in! hehehe

Myself, Ryzal n Datin Erin, our friend from Kedah

By the time, the whole wedding ended I knocked out!
I was having headaches, sore throat and flu.
And that lasted for a couple of days.
Thank God I got recovered in time for Shahidah's wedding last Sunday.
Pixs to be posted later.

Oh yes, O level results will b out this Thursday.
I really wonder how my baby brother will do.
I've told him umpteen times that it's just a cert. How and what he'll do after that will then only be determined by himself. I want him not just to be smart academically but more importantly, is for him to stood out from the rest; not some1 who's following the crowd.

I'm sure my bro will do well in life; whether he passes his O's or not. Cos I can see from the way he operates his business at aged 17. He's determined, professional and very hardworking in getting contacts and laying down the networks.
So Janz, all the best. Whatever its is, Bali/Phuket in June is a must!!

So till then.

Back To School

Last Saturday, I accompanied Janz to SP as SP had an open-house; to introduce O level takers of the campus and also the courses SP has to offer. Honestly, to be back to SP is such a great feeling! It makes you feel so at home!

Though it was a Saturday but it wasn't packed. So it was just nice for us to roam around the campus. So many things changes. There's now a cool cafe at T15. School Of Life Science (where I was from) was shifted to T12 if I'm not wrong. Gone were the days where its was at T2. But somethings never changed and that is the food-courts! FC5 is still my favorite food-court after all these years. It's located just next to the swimming pool and walking distance to the stadium. FC2 is not opened that day. Yeah I remembered those days where FC2 will be divided into groups: Marine Engineering at 1 end, Chemical Engine at 1 end and the MacDs with Food Science girls. That makcik's ayam goreng which is so crispy had normally caused an hour or so queue. But that's the fun part cos you can just practically see everyone there. I also remember spending my most of my time in school. Yeah, I normally ended my day around 9pm after those basketball, track and field plus street-soccer trainings.

And whats the most unused vocab? Punctuality!! Hehehe. My classmates would take their own sweet time to enter lectures. While others who were already in, were either dozing off or barely there! hehe. But I guess these are the fond and sweet memories that you can't exchange for cash!

SP played such a huge part of my life. I met the bestest friends that anyone who can asked for; Syamie, Wak Dol, Si Wei etc. It also helped to mould me; my character and my self-confidence.
At the end of the day, SP has produced a lot of great people. And I'm proud to be part of it ;)

Speaking of Back To School, CicakMan will soon be launching its Back-To-School kit which consists of school bag, pencil case, pencil led, coloring pencils and water bottle.
I will upload the pixs soon.

A great start to 2008!

I hope I'm not too late to wish all Happy New Year!
I had a great start to 2008. Yes, better than before.

We had bbq on 31st. It was just a small gathering but it was real fun. Rumah Mkn Minang (Cik Bedah n family) had theirs as well at Kandahar Street so tis yr, we hope to have a combined bbq! Thats the spirit! lol

So bbq ended quite early. In fact ended just before Fik performed live on Ch5. Yes, that performance wif Marko was just excellent. Honestly, I couldnt sleep the whole night. As of speak, I have not been able to sleep the past nights. I really wonder why...

Despite less sleep, I still woke up feeling fresh than ever. Maybe its the brand new feeling or maybe Im just so excited looking forward to a great year. Whatever it is, I'm optimistic.
I kicked day 1 of the year very well with my cousins and I having a great karaoke session.
4 long hours! Wow! It was so fun!! We planned to do this on monthly issue. I'm sure with all the practice that we will soon have. we will be the next Idols! heheehe.

After karaoke, we decided to go to Simpang Bedok for dinner. While Abg Ary drove the other car, Syamie had us (Yati, Jana n myself) in his as we went hunting for chocolate cake. Its quite difficult to get 1 near Siglap/East Coast area but thank God, Royals Cake came to our rescue.

Their chocolate truffle is excellent! So we had a small celebration in conjunction of Makcik Ct's birthday.

Simple as it is... But I love it! I love my cousins who've always been there for me.
Enjoy the pixs people!

3 beautiful ladies on the search for LOVE

The Ladies

The next Idols! lol

Us and our bestest Uncle though he always acknowledge himself as Cousin! hehehe

What are my resolutions in 2008?
These are mine:
1) Pass my driving license
2) Save more money for my NY/Europe trip
3) Spent more time with family and friends
4) Try to allocate time to date!!!
5) Do my best in everything in order for a much fruitful and successful year

For 2007, Ive had 1 of the greatest years ever.
I learnt alot, cried a lil, laughed alot and most importantly I gained alot from people around me.
Cicakman screening in Singapore, Samsons concert in HRC, CicakMan promo in Gilamovies, my stay in KL for months, Mukhsin screening in Spore, Dad's hospitalization in Labuan, APM, Fauzan's wedding, Juanita's wedding, Rashidah's wedding, Abg Ary and Sue's wedding on 070707, Ungu's consert, Launch of 8/8, KLIFF.... these are to name some of the important events that played a huge role in my life.

Im grateful, content and blessed for what HE has given me.
And I hope this year HE will grant me just 1 thing to make my life complete; a man with 3Bs.
In today's context, its hard to find a man with these 3Bs- beriman, berilmu dan berwawasan.
But I'm optimistic. I look forward to a great 2008!
