Open House 2008We had a small open house meant for close friends and extended families who've yet visited our home. It was a good one indeed!I woke up early, helped to clean up the front area and off to Jalan Elok to fetch my friends from Jakarta. Wen n friends were here for Motly Crue's concert last Thurs and they flew off yesterday evening. Thus I appreciate them spending some time at my humble crib ;)Brondong 1 came with family at 230pm and stayed till 4plus before Fiza came and all the others. Some SleeQaholics turned up too! Mr Stylish Where are you???Jana and I always talked about what kinda guys we are attracted to, the kinda guys we'll fall for and the kinda guys that turns us off. Definitely both of us are strongly attracted to guys who are stylish! He needs to look good, have a good fashion sense and stylish in his own ways. And sad to say, there's lack of stylish men in Singapore! Or I've yet bumped into them. Oh dear!
Where are you Mr Stylish??
Here's a man who's stylish and has been part of my life for the past 13years... heheheAnd I want my boyfriend-to-be to be as stylish as him! lols

Sigh.... There could only be 1 DAVID BECKHAM!The search for Mr Stylish will continue in Jakarta and Bandung ;)OutzJJ@14thOct2008, 1524hours

On marriageMama and Ayah celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on Tuesday 7thOctober. We had a small seafood dinner by the park. Auntie Sal was supposed to join but she was stuck at work till 7plus pm! So it was just us ;)Being 29 years in marriage they've went through a lot; through the thick n thin, through the ups n down, through the joys n tears. They managed to go through it. Alhamdulilah...They are two different personalities. Mama loves staying indoors, doesn't do house chores, doesn't cook nor sew.But she's very smart in finding/making money. A very hardworking woman I must say!Ayah on the other hand loves outdoor, sports and music. He's also a very handyman; fixes all and any stuffs. They come from two different family background yet they compromise and stick by each other. Now I understand.Marriage isn't about finding the perfect someone. It's about complimenting one another, accepting one another strengths and weaknesses, and loads of compromising. It's also not just that individual you're marrying to but the whole big family (which can be quite leceh... ops!hehehe) But I guess that's what marriage is all about.I questioned myself, can my soon marriage be like Mama and Ayah? The word is soon... hehehe... But I hope mine will be.At the same time I pray that theirs will last till death do them apart ;)I shall leave you with this qoute that I've been holding on' You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you... a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals... look for someone complimentary... not supplementary.'OutzJJ@10thOct08, 1013hours

Eid MubarakEid was short and simple. Just the way how I've always wanted it to be.Kak Ipa called all the way from New York at 11am local time. And as she speak the Empire State Building lights up! Yeah we were trying to visual it... Thanks Kak Ipa! hehehe. So my mum's siblings came after Dzuhur and the whole platoon cramped my crib. We've got a pregnant lady (Kak Yaya), a new born baby (Alisya Marcella), sick boys (Fauzi n Shahid), the everyone's favorite (Amalia) and other playful kids. While all these took place, the men took one corner of the house to discuss on Lehmann Brothers and Wall Street issues. How clever! lol.Having my maternal cousins, uncles and aunties around were always fun. We've took the opportunity to catch up, share tips on parenting (definitely not me but it can be handy... hehehe) and loads more. The house will always be super noisy. But I love them!MY family only went to Pak Ngah's (Dad's elder bro) house later at 9pm and Tok Busu's place.I spend my second day very wisely by staying home and watched Dvds plus Indonesian TV channels. The kids were out in school so there's nothing much to be done. But it's the best time for me to stay away from the PC. I really took the time to enjoy peace n tranquility ;)We visited Auntie Sal's place at 6pm. Like who wouldn't? She has cooked bryani!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For goodness sake I ate 3 plates of it. Gosh! It's fantastically sedap! hehehe. We later proceed to Mak Busu Temah's place. (Dad's youngest sibling)On Friday was just Umi Aton's place, Tok Busu (again) plus Bik Nay. Saturday; Tok Hitam and Caca. Sunday; Pak Busu Fuad, Auntie Jun, Abg Zai, Paman Piye. And it's all done!Phew! If you think the list is long, that was just the majors. It has yet cover Dad's other cousins. Quite a handful I'm telling ya. But what is Eid without visiting and strengthening the bonds. It's the only time everyone makes effort to visit, catch up woth one another plus enjoying all the good delicacies.Oh ya, my Pak Long is in NY right now paying Kak Ipa a visit since she couldn't be here. I hope they've brought enough stocks of pineapple tarts cos Andrew just loves them! I'll upload the pixs soon ;)In the meantime, enjoy your Eid people!OutzJJ@7thOctober08, 2146hours
